High rebound

Download clip (1.0 MB)
Like the previous clip, this splash resulted in a thick column which gave rise to a huge droplet at its tip.  The droplet does not break off, but remains attached to the column by a small thread of water.  Ripples of moving water also can be seen in the column.  A spectacular column results when the huge droplet falls into the water.  This narrow column travels upward at great speed, its tip breaking up into many small droplets.  The drop height is unchanged from the previous clip.
