  • These photos are our best shots, they are the overlay of the images of each soccer kick.  We used Adobe Photoshop to overlay all the frames from each kick onto one image.

  • This is a good shot of a clearing stance kick, you can see the ball moving in a straight path with very little rotation on the horizontal axis which shows us that the ball is not curving to the right or left.
  • Another shot of the clearing stance, this shows the path of the foot better.  You can see that the ankle is locked and the toe is pointed away from the body.  The leg executes a sweeping motion low to the ground catching the ball underneath the equator.
  • Nice shooters stance, the body is upright and the knee is over the ball.  The top of the foot will contact the ball and propel it in the direction of the shoulders.  This makes analysis of the path of both the foot and the ball easy since there is no movement toward or away from the camera.
  • This is another Shooter's Stance.  You can follow the foot after the kick for about seven flash intervals.  The ball has very little spin whatsoever giving us good data for analysis.
  • This Clearing Stance show the path of the foot at the top of the down-swing and the path it follows as it passes through the ball.  The foot seems to stop at about the same elevation is starts in the kick.
