Below is the setup that was used for the first set of pictures. The camera was located about 1 meter away from the balloon, which was held in the air by a string, that was tied to a ring stand. The flash unit was placed approximately 1 meter away from the balloon, on a Yellow flash setting. The aperture was set at 5.6

Above is the setup that we used for the sticky substances (Jello, pudding, applesauce, honey, soap, etc.) The inside of the box was spray painted black, and the front was covered by a Plexiglas shield. The balloon was held up with a string that was connected to a ring stand, through a hole. The sound trigger was placed on top of the box, with the microphone over a small hole cut in the top. The flash was clamped in the front of the Plexiglas, onto the cart, at a 90 degree angle relative to the Plexiglas. We used a filter on the flash to concentrate the light and reduce the glare on the Plexiglas. The balloon was punctured with a compass needle, through a hole in the side of the box.
